The Lights Experience Starts Here
Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights brings legitimate touring acts to West Fargo all season long — country headliners, rock legends, rodeo nights, and events that sell out fast. It is the kind of venue that makes West Fargo feel like a real destination. And right on that same plaza, before any of it starts, is us.
The walkability is the thing people notice first. You finish your drink, you walk out the door, and you are already there. No rideshare, no parking lot, no scrambling. Just a short walk across the plaza and you are at the gates. When the show ends and the crowd spills back out, we are the first place they land — and we are always still open.
A show night at West Fargo Dive Bar has a rhythm to it. People come in early, find their spot, and let the evening build. The energy in the bar rises as gate time gets closer. By the time the opener hits, the room has already been alive for an hour. Come in, get your usual, and let the night take care of itself.

Show Night Questions
Is West Fargo Dive Bar open before concerts at The Lights?
Yes. We open at 11am on weekends and 4pm on weekdays — well before any show at Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights gets underway. Most concert nights we are busy from the moment the gates open. Come in early, find a spot, and let the evening build. We are always still open when the show ends too.
How far is West Fargo Dive Bar from The Lights stage?
Steps. West Fargo Dive Bar is at 360 32nd Ave W, Suite 140 — on the same Lights plaza as Essentia Health Plaza. Walk out our door and you are on the plaza. No rideshare, no parking lot scramble, no driving. It is the reason people make us their pre-show and post-show stop.
Do you need a reservation on concert nights?
No reservation needed. Walk in, find a seat at the bar or a table, and order your drink. On sold-out show nights the bar gets busy early, so arriving 60–90 minutes before gate time is a good call if you want a comfortable spot before the crowd arrives. We do private event reservations for groups — call (701) 532-3483 if you have a large group.
Is there outdoor seating on The Lights plaza?
Yes — our patio opens directly onto The Lights plaza on concert nights and warm evenings. Cold drink in hand, stage in sight. It is what a West Fargo summer night is supposed to feel like. Patio seating is first-come, first-served.
